This site is generally about my progress to becoming a craftsperson. However, there will be a lot on how and why I am where I am and what influences there have been. I hope to keep each post short and thought provoking. With a bit of luck, some of the posts will also be funny. I hope my style will hold your interest as I try to be simple without being simplistic.
Please bear with me as I get to grips with running a blog, putting on follow and like buttons and generally making it mine.
I welcome critical comment; it’s the only way I’ll get to know what others think of what I’m doing.
Cheers,
Vincent
Hello
I saw you sculpting in the rain and wind outside the art gallery in York last year.
How can people see your work? I did ask if I could visit the College but never got a reply. (You have to sign in and have an appointment. You can’t simply rock up.)
Thanks
I’ve never done that Rebecca – sculpting outside the gallery – must have been someone else. However, I have twice helped run a raku kiln at the back of the gallery. The main man for the course, Ed Poxon, sadly died suddenly on 22nd June. If you want to find out more about the course, I suggest you contact the college 01904 770100 and ask for Phil Simpson.
